This NASA Shuttle Carrier Aircraft 905 print presents one of the most distinctive aircraft of the Space Shuttle programme in a disciplined top-down perspective, revealing the unique geometry created by the orbiter mounted above the aircraft.

NASA 905, registered N905NA, was one of two Shuttle Carrier Aircraft operated by NASA. The modified Boeing 747was adapted to transport Space Shuttle orbiters between landing sites and launch facilities across the United States.

Structural reinforcements and mounting struts were installed above the fuselage to carry the shuttle externally, creating one of the most recognisable silhouettes in aerospace history. The aircraft became an enduring symbol of the connection between aviation and spaceflight.
